A R.A.D. week!

November 14th, 2010 slrond13

Hey guys!

So a lot has happened in the past week! I’ve been really excited to write this post.

Hmm where to begin? Let’s start with Tuesday. On Tuesday i went into Worcester with my friend and partner Joe Darcy to meet with our boss for our internship we have together. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned my internship before, but i work with Holy Cross alum Ted Pidcock 88′ for his clothing company called Teddy the Dog. I met Ted through the Holy Cross Summer Business Program which I did this past summer. This internship has been awesome! Joe and I mange social media marketing for the company and we actually have a ton of responsibility and impact on the company.

Some of what Joe and I do: -Mange a facebook of about 8000 fans and growing (we started with only 200!! it’s crazy to think i control the companies messaging to 8,000 fans!)

-Contact blog writers for product reviews. Check out this review I got Rebecca from Philly Dog to write!

-Help pick out and decide our new clothing lines for each season.

So you have now officially met Teddy, I’ll be talking about him all the time.

Besides working on Teddy the Dog this week, on Wednesday i went to my first R.A.D. class offered by HC. R.A.D. stands for Rape Agression Defense class. This class is taught by trained officers on campus and teaches women how to defend against attackers. This class is awesome!!! I feel much more aware and confident in my abilties if a situation were to ever occur (considering the fact that I have never even thrown a punch before).

After Wednesday my week was pretty low key. For once i have no exams to study for! I hung out on campus Saturday night with some of my guy friends on the soccer team. It was really fun and i met about four new guys I had never met before. Yay for meeting new people!

Anyways so here i am now, in the library typing up this post. Its pretty crowded and there’s some great people watching.

Until next time guys!
